After more than a year from submission of petition with 50 000 signatures in Parliament, finally the case Kiçina will be discussed in todays session of Kosovas Parliament.
The headship of Parliament has decided in the end of October for this case to be discussed in this session. In fact, the commission for human rights, gender equality, missing persons and petitions has handed over to Parliaments headship the reviewed material together with signatures and received support for this issue to be in agenda.
The Parliament Speaker of Kosova, Jakup Krasniqi had stated that the discussions on this case in Parliament will be interference in judiciary sector, however the aim of the debate will be to convince the Parliament and public opinion that judiciary sector takes just and independent decisions.
It is known that one year ago the petition Justice for Kiçina case signed by around 50 000 citizens of Kosova was submitted to Kosovas Parliament, with the request to hold an extraordinary session and to establish an ad hoc commission over this case.
Arsim and Burim Ramadani and Jeton and Arben Kiçina are serving the sentence of 106 years imprisonment, on the charge for murdering the Hajra family from Baica in 2001 in Drenas.
