The US Embassy condemns today’s attack and violence towards a multiethnic group of 41 workers who were employed in the project supported by USAID on improving the living conditions of communities in north Mitrovica.
The press release reads that the victims of the attack were Serbs and Albanians of Kosova, Bosnians and others, all of them were ordinary citizens who were working to maintain their families while they were working in the project drafted for improvement of living conditions in their community, the cleaning of environment was identified as priority by local residents.
The embassy condemns the use of violence and the attack committed by persons who follow the political agenda of the past and undermine the public welfare and the right of people to earn for their living and to improve the economy and society of community.
